Evgeny is an Assistant Professor at UCI in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology. Evgeny obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Vienna and the Institute of Molecular Pathology

Sandra is our Lab Manager with many years of laboratory experience. Before joining the Kvon Lab, she worked at USC and in Ronald Evans lab at Salk. Sandra received a B.S. in Human Biology and M.S. in Clinical Research from UC San Diego.

Zhuoxin is studying non-coding mutations that contribute to morphological changes between different species. Zhuoxin obtained her Ph.D. in bioinformatics from Sun Yat-sen University.

Zubair received his master's in Clinical Biochemistry from Kashmir university and then obtained his PhD from NCBS Bengaluru, India.

Yingying received her Ph.D. from the Center for Excellence in Molecular Cell Science (CEMCS), Shanghai Institute of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Her research focuses on how cis-regulatory elements integrate multiple signals to shape gene expression during embryogenesis, and she is particularly interested in evolution and synthetic biology.

Grace is a graduate student in the Kvon Lab. She graduated from UCLA with a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology.

Ethan is an MD/PhD student, focused on understanding how noncoding mutations cause disease. He received his B.S. in Zoology and Neuroscience from Miami University.

Joshua graduated from UCI with a B.S. in Human Biology. He has previously worked for the Transgenic Mouse Facility at UCI and HUMANOID CoRE at UCSD. He is studying how mammalian enhancers interact to drive gene expression.

Sarah graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Genetics and Marine Science. She has previously worked in evolutionary transcriptomics and at UCSD's Center for Epigenomics.

Raine is a Biological Sciences major at UCI. In her free time, she enjoys practicing Taekwondo and art.

Mandy is a Nursing Science Major at UCI. Outside of academics, she likes cooking and reading.

Ellie is a Biological Sciences major, minoring in Management. In her free time, she likes to cook, crochet, and thrift.

Jaden is majoring in both Biological and Earth System Sciences at UCI. When free, he likes to read and aquascape.

Kira is a 2nd year pharmaceutical sciences major and some of her hobbies include drumming, Dragon Boat paddling, and cooking.

Kayvahn is a Biological Sciences major with interests in human physiology, genetics, and chemistry. Outside of academics, he enjoys staying active through the gym and golf, and spending time working on his car
